Runway Recap

The designer's challenge was to create an outfit inspired by New York night life. They were each given a camera to take pictures around the city. It was interesting to see each designer's inspiration (some were clear visions while others were NOT).

Winner: Kenley

I really thought that Terri was taking this one. The designers loved her pant/dress combination..I liked Kenley's but my fave was Korto's.

Korto's design..while it's not exactly innovative it is super cute!

Emily definitely did not deserve to go home. While the dress is some what cha cha diva it was way more exciting than Jennifer's clock dress.

Step Brothers Review

Last night I saw Step Brothers with a couple friends. I laughed a lot, but overall the movie was just average. It seemed to be trying a bit too hard for laughs. It's worth watching but I'd wait a few more months to rent it if you haven't seen it yet.

On the other hand, I saw Batman last week...amazing! (as everyone has heard by now) if you haven't seen it yet go now!

Guilty Pleasures

I love men's Hanes tanks and tees because they are great with any outfit. I can exercise in them or pair them with some skinny's, cute flats, and a bright bag and I'm ready for class.

J.Crew Fall 08

Today I was browsing through the new J.Crew collection, and it looks great! I can't wait for the cool weather to come so I can break out my boots, scarves, and jackets again.

These were some of my favorite pieces. I love the versatility of them. I can make an outfit sweet (for student teaching and tutoring) or sexy (for a night out with the girls).

Soo excited for the new season of Project Runway! I am obsessed with this dress..can't wait for Wednesday.

Guilty Pleasures

I seriously love this stuff. It's a great mascara for under 5 bucks. I can't seem to try a more expensive mascara since Great Lash has good results. What do you use? Does a more expensive mascara work better?

I hate these sunglasses. Some people can pull them off but I mean they are just downright ugly. I wore these when I was in elementary school.

I've been brewing up some ideas to redo my room at home. I'm going to be a senior in college but my room is stuck in high school. I also want to create an easy transition for my parents to turn it into a guest room when I leave. I like these..

Vacation is Over

Well I am back from Maine! It was a great relaxing vacation but went by way too fast. It was nice to be on a beach again and catch up on some reading. One day I hope to have a retreat of my own in my backyard. I would love to live on the water, and would gladly accept these views.

Dilemma!

I admit, I have a bit of a shoe problem and I am running out of closet space! Right now, I have a dinky shoe rack that doesn't hold too many shoes. I love the idea of individual plastic containers with a photo of the shoe, but I'm not sure if I have the space for that. Any ideas or suggestions? How do you store your shoes?

Guilty Pleasures

I am addicted to chapstick and cannot leave the house without it. I love how smooth it makes my lips feel without any stickyness. I've tried some higher end lip balms, but I have to admit that chapstick is my fave!

Heading to Maine

Sorry I haven't blogged a lot lately. This summer I'm a nanny for two families so I've had my hands full. I'm going on vacation tomorrow to Maine. I just bought this dress at forever 21. I fell in love! It's the perfect summer dress and will be perfect for a beach vacation.



Here is what else I'm packing:

By taking a lot of versatile basics, I can get more use out of each outfit. Dresses are great to pack because they can be worn to the beach or dressed up for a night out with a pair of heels.
