City Prints

I sort of have a thing for city prints. I like to collect them when I travel to a new city. I'd love to add these Matte Stephens prints to my collection.

Days 29 and 30

I'm done!!!! This challenge was pretty rough towards the end. I had very little motivation, suffered lack of creativity, and dearly missed my other clothes. But I'm happy that I finished and managed to put together 30 different outfits. I completely underestimated the amount of time needed for this challenge, but it taught me how to maximize my wardrobe, that I can live without yet another pair of black shoes or white tee, etc. and helped me to better identify my style. We'll see if I'll be up to the challenge again in spring! Thanks for all your sweet comments along the way!

For now, I'm thrilled not to have to stand outside in the freezing cold taking pictures. Closet, here I come! 

Topshop + Leopard = Perfection

Is this not the most divine leopard scarf? It's perfectly subtle and not at all tacky. 

Is it too late to add to my Christmas list? 

Palmiers

Sunday was our annual cookie exchange with my aunts and my grandma. I finally had an excuse to try out Ina Garten's palmiers which I have been dying to make. These were the perfect cookie to spice up our cookie tray. I added some cinnamon to the recipe and voila! 

These were so tasty (and easy) that I will be making them again before Christmas! 

On a side note: If you are interested in making these (you should), I would recommend using less sugar. Enjoy!

Wedding Weekend

There's nothing quite like seeing two people madly in love become husband and wife. Here's a little glimpse into our whirlwind of a weekend.

The bride and groom are escaping the snow and heading off to Mexico for their honeymoon. As for me, I'm cuddling under my down comforter and popping in a movie. 

Fill in the Blank Friday

1.   I wish       I had no school loans and a full-time teaching job. Maybe then I could move out of my parent's house...

2.  Yesterday I   worked at the Montessori and helped my friends set up for their wedding reception.

3.  Today I will       be attending a wedding rehearsal and celebrating my best friend's last night as a single lady.

4.  Tomorrow I will   be a bridesmaid for the first time ever and watch two of my best friends get married!

5.  Maybe      I will miraculously come up with a creative idea for my 30 for 30 other than belted cardigans. (I'm swearing off cardigans for the next month). 

6.  Someday        I will have a teaching job and remember why I chose to become a teacher in the first place.

7.  I love       when my room is clean, the Glee christmas cd, snooze buttons, and down comforters.

Starbucks + Sparkles

Sparkly nails & starbucks make cold weather more fun. So maybe I gave myself a mani along with the four year old I babysit. Who says sparkles are just for kids?

Fill in the Blank Friday

1.   Holiday spirit       is incomparable. Nothing beats the sense of comfort and joy around the holidays. 

2.  The holidays are incomplete without   a decorated house inside and out, family traditions, searching for the perfect gift, hot cocoa, snow, christmas music, cookies, lots of shopping and crafting, and spending time with friends and family.

3.  My favorite things to do around the holidays is       bake cookies, watch Christmas movies, wrap presents, and play in the snow.

4.  A holiday tradition my family and I have is    opening new pajamas every christmas eve, having a cookie exchange with all my aunts, decorating the house together, getting new ornaments each year, eating cookies on christmas morning, and writing clues on our gifts to each other.

5.  Holiday music is      my favorite. I listen to it all the way through December. My favorites are Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack and Christmas with the Rat Pack.

6.  This year, I'll be spending the holidays        at my house since we are hosting Christmas. 

7.  Holiday wish list      I want a Canon rebel. I have a few other things I'll be posting next week!
