Coffee Table Books

I have a huge weakness for a thick stack of coffee table books. They add style to any room, and also provide hours of entertainment. I'm currently trying to beef up my collection (hint, hint Santa). One day I'd like a stack in every room, arranged by category of course.

These titles are at the top of my list...

Do you collect coffee table books? Which is your favorite?

Message in a Bottle

If I received a note on this stationery I would probably shriek with glee and then frame it.
The set comes with a variety of bottles too. So perfect.

Cushions

Wouldn't it be fun to lay on a pile of cushions in the sun all day with a nice cold drink?

Simple Arrangement

Sometimes arranging flowers intimidates me. This collection makes such a statement, yet is so simple and pretty. I love the gathering of the unique bottles. Perfect.

Coco Chanel quotes

I really enjoy quotes. They can be inspirational and entertaining and I like that they can turn into a mantra for your life. Coco Chanel has said many memorable things, and I recently stumbled upon quotes of hers that I had never heard before and I loved every one. These are my favorites..

Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.

In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.

Fashion fades, only style remains the same.

Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.

A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.

The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.

There are people who have money and people who are rich.

What are some of your favorite quotes?

Sky Collage

Isn't this collage amazing? It would be so fun to take pictures from different places around the world, or different seasons and weather and put them all together.

Inspiration Walls

I like to rip out pages of magazines when I read them, save cute note from the boyfriend, and print pictures and hang everything on my cork board. The rest of my inspiration is on my computer (mostly on this blog) or in a bookmarked folder. I like these inspiration walls because they serve as an art form. I would like to use a similar style in my new apartment.

Do you have an inspiration wall? What does it look like? If not, how do you keep track of the things that inspire you?

Turquoise

I saw this dress on Nicole Richie and it was love at first sight. I love the cut, the color, the patterns, and her accessories. This dress made me remember how much I love turquoise and really inspired me. Plus you know I love a good excuse to whip out a polyvore. Enjoy!

Plan the Perfect Party

Planning parties is alot of fun, but it can be stressful and overwhelming. I found these 5 tips from Real Simple that can help make your party perfect:

1. Pick a theme
2. Start early & set the stage
3. Shortcuts are your friend
4. Set up stations
5. Take 15 (or 30) for yourself

read the article for more details

I also like to look to Amy Atlas for inspiration. I would love to attend one of her parties. She is seriously amazing!
