1.  The highlight of my week was   a movie date with Andy. We really need to have more week night dates.

2.   If I had to classify my interior design aesthetic it would be    minimal, a bit modern, but welcoming and cozy. I love neutral walls with colorful accents.

3.  My first vehicle was   a white 1984 Ford Tempo named Bernice. She treated me well.

4. An item I need to have in my day in order to function is  breakfast. And clean teeth.

5. My favorite way to waste time is  watching tv, reading, or shopping.

6. Right now I could really go for   a manicure.

7.  This weekend I will be   having a girl's wine night and doing some serious thrifting.

TGIF! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Scarf Storage

This weekend I tackled the huge problem of my overflowing scarf collection. I had them folded in a pile, a system which has not been working for the last few months. It was more often a mountain of scarves rather than a nice folded pile. I finally hit my boiling point and went to work. I didn't feel like going to the store, so I just used what I had (a shoe organizer). I transferred my flats into a few baskets, and voila!

I have a scarf problem.

If you are looking for more ideas, some lovely bloggers also recommended: an over the door shoe organizer, multi-tier pants hanger, or a scarf organizer from Ikea. Thanks Morgan, MJ, and Aliya!

This & That

Someone give me an excuse to make these.

Love all the textures and textiles in this room.

Two new favorite shows. Thanks netflix :)

My latest obsession. You can't beat the price for perfect amount of color. Plus it has SPF!

Oscars 2012

Jessica, Gwyneth, and Milla get my vote for best dressed. I loved them all equally.
I also loved Rooney, Michelle, and Tina. The color on Michelle was impeccable, and Tina's hair! Perfect.
Giuliana overshadowed many of the stars, and I loved the color of Glenn's dress. I was totally on the fence with Emma, but she won me over as a presenter. I wish she had better makeup though.

Who gets your vote for best dressed?

Pardon My French

Garance Doré is one of my all time favorite bloggers. She is a woman of many talents: photography, illustration, directing, writing (her posts make me laugh out loud), and to top it all off, she's from Paris! Talk about serious girl crush. She started a little series called Pardon My French, covering New York and Paris Fashion Week. I love getting this little glimpse into her life during fashion week, and I can't wait to see more!

I could listen to her adorable accent all day long.

This Means War

Andy and I decided to hold off on our Valentine's celebration until the weekend, so I planned a girl's night with my sister. We saw This Means War, which was hilarious. It's always a gamble seeing chick flicks in theaters. They are either terribly cliche, cheesy, or predictable, but this movie had us cracking up the entire time and leaving the theaters smiling. I definitely recommend it.

What did you do to celebrate Valentine's Day?

February Birchbox

I was so excited to see the hot pink box at my door yesterday, but I have to admit my heart fell a little bit with this one. While the sample sizes are not as impressive as last month's, I am pumped about the beauty blender and oil treatment.

Details:

Beauty Blender: love, love, love this!

Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint: spread well and gave nice coverage, I just wish the sample was bigger.

Orofluido Beauty Elixir: haven't tried this yet.

Violent Lips Temporary Lip Tattoos: Umm, what? No sparkly lips for me, thanks.

Nail File: A girl can never have too many nail files.

Fellow Birchbox gals, how were your boxes this month?
