Now that the wedding craziness is over, I finally have time to share a few details! Our wedding invites from Minted were one of the first things I selected after we got engaged. I could not have been happier with the result. They are thick and luxurious, and arrived super fast...not to mention friendly on the budget. I would HIGHLY recommend Minted for any invites (they have a huge selection not just limited to weddings). I can honestly say this was of the easiest and best decisions of our planning process.

Our Engagement Pictures
Here are just a handful of my favorite photos from our engagement session, shot by the wonderful Claire from Rouxby Photography. I think engagement sessions are brilliant for getting a bit more comfortable in front of the camera, and getting to know your photographer. I can't wait to work with Claire again on our wedding day.

My Bachelorette Party
It's very rare that all my friends are in the same place at the same time, sans boyfriends, husbands, or babies. Of course, my bachelorette party was the perfect excuse to leave that all behind, get dolled up, and enjoy some quality girl time.

A Bridal Brunch
Rocky River Wine Bar was the perfect venue for our fuss-free bridal brunch. The menu was delicious...made to order mimosas, croissants & bagels, parfaits, egg and bacon on ciabatta, fruit salad, a green salad, and my favorite mini donuts for dessert. We were in the coziest room with a fireplace and lots of light. I opted out of traditional shower games to give us more time to catch up with our guests. People loved having Andy there, and I did too! One of my favorite details of the day were advice cards. These were so fun to read through after the shower. For simple favors, I baked up a batch of my favorite cookies to send home with the guests. These were a huge hit! All in all, it was a day filled with love and excitement. We feel so lucky!

Our Save the Dates
Wedding costs can quickly add up so I knew right away I wanted to DIY our save the dates. Since I am the opposite of graphic design savvy I scoured the internet for something printable. Luckily, I found this awesome freebie from the Wedding Chicks. Budget friendly with a custom look. We were so happy with how they turned out!

Our Wedding "Vibe"
The first thing we selected was our venue, Gervasi Vineyard. Having a beautiful location was our top priority, because it will set the tone of our day. Instead of selecting a color palette, we settled on aiming for a rustic/casual/elegant vibe infused with natural colors and elements in white, neutral, and green tones. I can't wait to see how it all comes together!

Beautiful Bridesmaids
For a long time I've imagined my bridesmaids wearing navy. Now that I'm actually planning my wedding, I've realized I'm more drawn to the soft and dreamy neutrals. I have to admit though, it's hard to completely write off navy. Who would have thought this would be such a tough choice? One thing I know for sure, my girls will be in different dresses. May the best color win!
What gets your vote? Neutrals or navy?

Our Venue: Gervasi Vineyard
Good news! We set our date and booked our venue! May 26, 2013, at a little gem in Northeast Ohio. When we toured Gervasi, I knew right away it was perfect. Simple, yet elegant, with all the elements we wanted for both an outdoor ceremony and reception. I found this feature on Style Me Pretty, which helps to envision how it could look on our wedding. (Though the tables are a bit formal for my taste.. I'll definitely be rolling with the rustic theme). Let the planning begin!
