Best Kept Secret..

Ok so I'm about to admit something kind of gross and I'm only telling you this so that I can let anyone and everyone know the best kept secret. I had two warts..one on my finger and one on my foot. I've never had a wart my whole life until these two stubborn beasts came along. The wart (ew I hate this word) on my foot has been there probably three years. I've had it VERY painfully frozen off with liquid nitrogen (that didn't work), and I tried compound W (that worked a bit, but never removed the root of the wart). I pretty much accepted that these warts were staying with me for awhile until they decided they were ready to leave. Until I stumbled upon a blog about home remedies. I researched the use of apple cider vinegar for warts and saw TONS of testimonials swearing it works, so I thought I'd give it a shot. People, in two days the wart on my finger was gone! GONE! It burned a bit, but I'd take that over getting another liquid nitrogen treatment any day. Why don't the dermatologists and doctors tell people this? I'm still battling the wart on my foot because it is in an awkward spot under my toe and hard to keep the cotton ball and band-aid secure. I'm not really sure about the science involved but the vinegar kills the wart all the way to the root so basically it just falls off like dead skin. It does peel your skin away a bit around the wart, but it heals back up in a day or so. I used some Neosporin as an extra precaution.

So here's what you do:
1. soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar (or you can use the end of a q-tip)
2. secure it onto the wart using duct tape or a band-aid
3. make sure it is covering only the wart, or as little skin as possible
4. wait (I kept mine on most of the day because I was desperate to see results..but I let my skin air out for a couple of hours too)

Check out this website for details and find more testimonials here. Find more uses for apple cider vinegar here.

So if you have a wart, or two, and have tried everything..you MUST try apple cider vinegar. If you have tried this before, please share your experiences!

After trying this with such great results I'm really interested in researching more home remedies. Any recommendations?

That's pretty genius. I know apple cider vinegar is realllyy good for the hair, but I've never heard of it for warts.
Ow and I know what you mean about the liquid nitrogen treatment. a few years ago I had a planter's wart ( i think thats what it was called?) from walking barefoot on the pool deck so much and i had to get it done twice along with compound w. let's just say I was miserabllee

I sooo wish I would have read this about a month ago! I had one on my hand treated with the liquid nitrogen so many times I think I've lost count. It left a nasty scar and looked horrible while it was healing! I bookmarked that website!

Thanks!
