Thanks for all the book suggestions! Now I have to make a trip to the library. I just finished Heart of the Matter by Emily Giffin and I was disappointed. Spoilers ahead..
For me, the infidelity in this book was cringe worthy (although she made it work in Something Borrowed). The book was very predictable, corny, and I couldn't connect to the characters at all. I wish she also would have incorporated Nick's perspective. My favorite part of the book was hearing updates about our favorite couple Rachel and Dex. Here's to hoping her next book is a good one. Did any of you read this book? Thoughts?

I was thinking of reading this. But I really hate corny books. Thanks for saving me from the corniness (is that a word lol?)
I read it and I feel the same way you do. There was a point in the book that I was so not into it that I debated putting it down and not picking it back up, which I NEVER do! I hope her next one is much better also!
THANK YOU! I feel the exact same way, I was furious with the main character for being so stupid, angry with the husband who lied to her face. It was an upsetting book, and I was happy to be done with it.
OMG I felt the same way too!!! I couldn't put it down because I was curious enough to see what would happen, but when I was done, I thought "wow, I really did not enjoy this story." I did not like the infidelity, and did not understand it at all. I hated Valerie, and I just could not connect. It made me sad because I usually love Emily Giffin's stories.
I just started reading "Best Friends Forever" by Jennifer Weiner. I am halfway through, and so far, so good. I really enjoy her books, and I am really intrigued by this one!
agreed. I read this and felt definitely disappointed. I usually love her books, but you are right, the infidelity in this story seems out of left field. I just didn't get it and was angry with the Valerie character. sad.
I feel the same way! I LOVE all of Emily Giffin's other books and this one just didn't measure up to the other ones!
I haven't read her books. I always mean to but I never seem to pick them up at the bookstore.
I wouldn't enjoy a book about infidelity. It's just so....not right.
