Chicago 2010

Chicago has stolen my heart yet again...

After visiting the Lincoln Park Zoo, we stopped at the waterfront for one of the best views of the city.

A crepe from Icosium Kafe was a cozy spot to rest our feet.

We spent a lot of time in Wrigleyville. Great bars, food, and of course the Cubs!

No trip to Chicago is complete without a stop at the bean.

Our last day was spent shopping along Michigan Ave (ZARA!) walking along the river, lunch at Portillo's, and enjoying a delicious coconut cupcake from More. Perfect!

If you are planning a trip to Chicago:

I would recommend taking the train and spending a few hours in Lake View...get off at Addison see the field, eat breakfast at Salt & Pepper Diner, and walk a few blocks to Southport for local shops and boutiques. For a fun night in the city grab dinner at O'Brien's before a show at Second City. You must spend some time in Millennium Park, then head over to Poster Plus across from the Art Institute for vintage posters, unique souvenirs and other quirky things.
