The Kids Are All Right
127 Hours
True Grit
Winter's Bone
- Most recently I've watched The King's Speech and The Social Network which were both amazing. Six more to go! Next up, True Grit and The Fighter.
Which of these movies have you seen? Favorites?

The King's Speech is probably one of my favorite movies of all time. It was so excellent, I can't even express. It's so rare for a Best Picture to have such humor and grace; usually they are just gritty and depressing. I also highly recommend True Grit. The story line brought back the Western for me.
I'll be honest, I haven't paid attention to the Oscar nominees yet, but after seeing your list and realizing that I've seen a quite a few of these films already, I may join you in your quest to see all 10 before the awards. Thanks for the inspiration.
Good idea! I have only seen Inception though so I better get started if I want to make it through the list! I LOVED Inception. I thought it was a brilliant movie.
I've only seen a couple of these, but I loved the ones I did watch...
True Grit
Inception
Social Network
Toy Story 3
Also saw The Kids are Alright, but wasn't overly impressed.
Can't wait to see The Fighter and The King's Speech
Okay, so I'm so embarrassed that I still haven't seen The Social Network OR Inception! It's terrible of me, and I've been dying to. I have a snowday today, so maybe I'll be renting a little Social Network on demand.
I've only seen Black Swan (SO GOOD), and Toy Story 3 (which I saw in theaters with the kids I babysat this summer and cried my eyes out).
I'm a huge Colin Firth fan, so I MUST see The King's Speech asap! :)
The King's Speech was fantastic and beyond inspiring!! I loved it! Colin Firth is wonderful in it, and I thought it was so neat that it's based on a true story, a recommended must see!
I've seen The King's Speech, True Grit, The Fighter, Inception, and The Social Network (and i like them in that order starting with the best!) :)
The original True Grit is worth a watch too!
I'm doing the same thing at the moment but have sadly only just seen Black Swan. It was amazing and freakish and totally mental! I can't wait to see the rest and who wins!
That seems like a lot of nominations! Are there usually that many?
