I've been mildly obsessed with Jillian Harris' hair since she was first on the Bachelor. When she posted a recipe for her hair smoothie, I was intrigued... I'm willing to try anything that will give me Jillian-ish hair.
Ingredients:
1 banana
2 tbsp olive oil
1 egg
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp plain yogurt
Blend ingredients together and apply to towel dried hair. Cover it up with a shower cap and wait an hour.
I'll admit, this is pretty messy, (maybe because I used a grocery bag instead of a shower cap, woops!) and I had to have my sister help me. I was nervous my hair would smell like eggs or be too oily, but post-rinse it smelled nice, mostly of bananas. This little smoothie has a huge payoff. My hair was smooth and shiny, and felt great for the entire week. I will definitely be working this into my monthly beauty routine. If you have an hour to spare this weekend, try it out!
