The rest of my trip was jam packed with sightseeing, hiking, and even a bit of shopping. We stayed in Manitou Springs, a cozy little town minutes away from Pike's Peak. I wish we had more time to explore in Denver, but my sister and I shopped around 16th Street Mall, and had a yummy meal at
SmashBurger (heavenly fries!).
It was freezing at the top! We warmed up inside and enjoyed some donuts. Very tasty!
Now I need a vacation to recover from my vacation. Let's hope the next one is on a beach somewhere...

I LOVE Manitou Springs! My family and I went down there 2 years ago in August and there was a snow storm on the top of Pike's Peak that we were not dressed for- we warmed up with some donuts and hot chocolate as well :)
