Life & Teaching

If there's one thing I'm learning as I get older, it's that nothing goes according to the plan. Unfortunately, I wasn't selected to become a teacher this year. Sigh. I'm trying to look at this in the most positive way I can... I get to press the reset button on my career. At the same time, it is hard to let go of the dream that I worked so hard for. Thank you for all your continued support. It means the world to me! If all else fails, I'm moving to Paris :)

i agree with morgan. sometimes it's hard to see at the time but i honestly believe that everything happens for a reason. and if moving to paris is what happens, well then that's not bad at all!

I completely understand what you are going through... I haven't found a job for the fall either and you're right, it is so hard to give up (for now at least) on something you've been working so hard for... We'll both find what we're meant to be doing. Eventually :)

Aww I'm sorry to hear that :( I know what you mean though...I came back to my old job. I kinda feel like it was a cop out, but at the same time, I knew it was the best thing for me to do.

I just wanna say that some things are just not meant to be. But you you shouldn't give up on your dreams either :) I hope it all works out for you!

I know how you feel...it took me a couple of years to find a full time teaching job! Don't give up!

Aw, bummer, so sorry to hear the news, I was rooting for you! Keep your head up, I know it's tough and even the nice comments people say don't help much. Have you decided your next plan of action? Since school hasn't started yet, are you going to apply elsewhere? Good luck, thinking of you xoxo

I know this is going to sound so cheesy/cliche, but they really are missing out, Linds. I know that you have all the makings of a phenomenal teacher, and eventually something WILL happen for you. I wish I had better words to console you on what I know is such a bummer.
And if you need a roomie in Paris, pleaseee let me know ;)
