Fill in the Blank Friday

1.   My current obsession is      watches of all shapes and sizes. I can't get enough of them.

2.    Baking cookies      make me happy.

3.  My greatest strength is   having a positive attitude  .

4.    Worrying about the small stuff    is my greatest weakness.

5.  My life is    not turning out as I would have imagined, but I'm learning to roll with the punches and let go of the checklist I envisioned when I was a teenager. I'm much happier that way :)

6.  In high school I was     "normal". Friends with everyone without the drama of being "popular".

7.  When I'm super tired    I will do one of two things. Fall asleep, or become extremely slap happy.

I'm off to Seattle for an entire week on Sunday! If you have any great recommendations, please let me know. I'm hoping to visit some local shops, attractions, and of course do some eating!

So Long Summer

Even though fall is my favorite season, I admit, I was sad to see summer go.
The best way to celebrate the end of summer? Beer, boating, and bonfires!

Until next year, Summer!

Fall Bucket List

via pinterest.com

In an effort to enjoy everything my favorite season has to offer, I assembled a little list:

1. Go to a pumpkin patch
2. Make pumpkin bread
3. Watch the sunset at the local apple orchard
4. Make an apple pie...with homemade pie crust (gulp)
5. Tailgate as many games as possible
6. Find the perfect shade of army green nail polish (any suggestions?)
7. Go to at least one Browns game
8. Go apple picking
9. Make a killer halloween costume
10. Go camping

What's on your list this fall?

Weekend in Photos

My favorite candles were on sale at Bath and Body, so of course I bought two :)

A bottle of Pinot and No Country For Old Men. Perfect date night in.

Thrifty treasures. 30 bucks for the pile. Major score.

Essie Power Clutch. New favorite color.

Hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend too!

Gallery Wall

I have a huge blank wall in my apartment now that is craving some attention. I love the look of a gallery wall, and I certainly have a collection of frames to use. The only problem is filling all of those frames...

Emerald

Emerald is popping up everywhere lately, and I can't get enough of it!

Will you be rocking shades of emerald this fall?

Formspring Me

I know I am about a year late to the Formspring party, but I figured I'd join anyway. Thought it would be nice to have questions from readers in one spot. So feel free to ask away

The Man Repeller

Leandra Medine, aka The Man Repeller, is another one of my dream bff's. How can you not love this girl?

Emmys 2011

The red carpet was pretty tame this year. Lots of pretty gowns, but nothing too risky. Red and sparkly neutrals were definitely the colors of the night.

Highlight of the night: lead actresses in a comedy gather on stage...how amazing does Edie look?

Without further ado, here are my picks for best dressed, with Nina Dobrev taking the cake.

Fill in the Blank Friday

1.   You should always take time to     read. Everyone needs to read a good book once in awhile.

2.    Being kind to the environment     make(s) the world a happier place to be.

3.  I can hardly wait for   a little treat from Clare Vivier to arrive in the mail .

4.    Saturday   is my favorite day of the week.

5.  Something totally dumb and ridiculous that I love is    Forever 21 nail polish. It's so cheap, it always sucks me in!

6.  If I could, I would   move to Paris and teach English.

7.  I rather like    the changes in weather. It's so nice to have a cool breeze.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

The Alexander Wang Braid

You all know about my long time obsession with the Wang braid. I've tried, and failed, many times to achieve this elusive look. I'm loving this tutorial from Rachel Zoe's amazing hair stylist Joey. Maybe once my hair grows out I can finally master my beloved side braid!

It's Finally Here!

The time has come! Yes, I was one of the crazies waiting with my cart for the doors to open. It was even better than I imagined and I'm thrilled with my purchases. I don't know what else to say but RUN to Target. Here's what I picked up:

Tell me what you bought!

Soap Hope

I've been making an effort to pay attention to the products I'm putting on my skin, so I jumped at the chance to sample a few products from Soap Hope, where everything is 100% natural. Even the box it was shipped in was recycled! They have everything from soap, to makeup, and products for your home and baby. If you need more convincing, Soap Hope invests 100% of profits to empower women all around the world.

I was thoroughly impressed with everything, but my favorite was the Sea Scrub soap. It smelled amazing and had the perfect amount of exfoliant. I look forward to trying more products from Soap Hope (5 free samples with every order!) and hope to add some all natural products to my beauty arsenal!

Do you have a favorite all-natural beauty product?

**I'd like to add that this post is in no way sponsored and these are 100% my genuine opinions. I wouldn't recommend something I didn't truly enjoy.

Wednesday Wonderings

via pinterest.com

Straight hair is my go-to. Unfortunately for me, my trusty Sedu has finally kicked the bucket, and I'm looking for an upgrade. I've heard rave reviews about the ghd, but I'm nervous that it's the new Chi. Trendy, expensive, but unimpressive. (I found the Chi to really pull at my hair). So here's my dilemma. Do I stick with what I know works for me, or give the ghd a try?

What gets your vote? Sedu or ghd? What is your favorite straightener?

This will be my closet one day. This will be my closet one day. This will be my closet one day.
