Oriental Rugs

If you would have asked me two years ago how I felt about oriental rugs, I probably would have said I hated them. But lately, I am attracted to the cozy and worn feel of them. I love that the color and pattern can really liven up a dull living space. If only I had some wood floors...

I have one and I love it! It's really universal. I think it can be used in any room. Give them a shot! :)

I think oriental rugs usually get overlooked is because their "old". I mean, they have the traditional, older feeling in decorating that many interior designers do not incorporate into their open, airy, white spaces. But I agree with you! I think they can definitely liven a space and how cute would it be paired with more modern design methods (ie. the picture with the amazing soaker tub in your example!).

My mom LOVES oriental rugs and I never got it. Just recently I've been feeling an oriental rug, accented with rich colors, mod shapes and contrasting patterns. It kind of makes a hip interior seem homey.
