Yep, Andy and I are buying a house! Our lease expires in August so we are in a serious time crunch. I'm dreaming of a big front porch, cozy fireplace, lots of built-ins, and a little garden. The town we are looking at is so charming, with old homes, tons of restaurants, and is minutes away from downtown Cleveland. I am so excited to move closer to the city and have a space of our own. We are definitely ready to get our hands dirty, and will most likely be tackling a BIG renovation. Please send some good vibes our way, as we search for our first home. Also, if you have any tips for first time home buyers, please send them my way!

congrats! that is so exciting. my advice is to try to not let yourself fall in love with any one house. there are MANY homes that you can love, but in the beginning, its really best to not let your emotions get involved.
So fun! can't wait to see what you end up with! My advice is to look past everything but the structure and the flow of the house. Our home, that I know LOVE, had terrible wallpaper, colors, carpet, flooring, etc. We were able to look past all of that and see that the flow of the house was what we wanted and the changes were things we could afford.
GOOD LUCK!
that's so exciting! I would recommend previewing on a website and then do some scouting, a lot of the photos online can be disappointingly misleading.
Best of luck with the house hunt. I know it's nerve wracking but it should be kind of fun too, right?
how exciting!! good luck with everything!
Congratulations! Nice house!

Hi!!!
I just stumbled onto your blog, enjoying your fabulous posts and realized you are a fellow Clevelander!
I just started my fashion&lifestyle blog this year, so I am still very new to the blogging world but had to say "hi" and introduce myself. I also follow many of the same blogs you favor.
Us C-towners gotta stick together!
Glad I found you!
Take care!

Oh my gosh this is so exciting!! I can't wait to see what you two end up getting and to see all of the changes and projects :)
Thank you so much for the words of reassurance. It made me feel loads better that you're going through something similar ;)
Missed your posts lately! Hope all is well with you xoxo
How exciting! I sometimes wish I felt settled enough to look for a house, but I'm always moving around so it makes that difficult. Everything you described is exactly what I'd look for in a house. Good luck to you!
