I agree with you completely! My dream house will have a tower like addition (castle-esque) and the top room will be my "study" aka collection of every single book i've read over the years.
I would love to have a fabulous book shelf like these! I especially like the ones in top two photos. They look great. I only use the book shelves on my desk. I'll have to spice them up a bit!
