2010 VMA's

The VMA's are always pretty entertaining. However, the show definitely could have used a Britney appearance. Nothing too exciting in the fashion department.

Highlight of the night: Lady Gaga. Enough said.

I think you need to see Lady Gaga in concert to fully get her. She's awesome.

2010 Emmy Awards

I was thoroughly impressed last night with the Emmy's. I thought Jimmy Fallon did a great job hosting. Did you see the opening act?

Let's get to the good stuff. Best dressed! Navy was the big color of the night, which I adored.

You can never go wrong with classic black. I can't get over how great Kelly looks!

One shoulder gowns were all over the red carpet last night. How cute are Jennifer and Michael?

My other favorites were Claire Danes and Christina Hendricks.
Boldest choice of the night goes to January Jones. I love the color.

Homage

Jennifer Aniston pays tribute to Barbara Streisand in the September issue of Harper's Bazaar. Not bad, Jen. Not bad at all.

Oscar Recap

My thoughts..

1. Did anyone else watching E!'s red carpet show think Ryan was totally awkward and completely interrupted people all the time? He also had no idea what to say in regards to fashion. What purpose did Jay Manuel and Guiliana serve? I thought G usually does the interviewing?

2. I feel like so many of the dresses were so close to being amazing, but missed the mark. (Charlize with rosette boobs, Zoe's mismatched bodice, SJP's shapeless number that would have probably looked amazing belted, and Demi's too-close-to-spraytan-color dress).

3. Tom Ford is a director?

4. I was holding my breath the whole time K-Stew was presenting. I can't help but feel awkward right along with her. She almost survived, but then the dreaded cough escaped. Better luck next time.

5. I've loved reading the different opinions and reviews. It's so interesting how one person can be someone's best dressed and another's worst.

My favorites:

Vera Farmiga was my top pick of the night. Her Marchesa gown was dramatic, bright, and perfect for the Oscars.
I was on the fence about this dress.. Something about the sheen makes it look a tad cheesy.. Then I decided that it was still alot better than some of the rest and Mariska looks so pretty.
While I think the dress is a tad small, Elizabeth Banks looks stunning.
Helen Mirren, can you please write a book on how to look fab in your sixties? Or perhaps bottle up your fab-ness and sell it? I mean seriously, she looks gorgeous!
When they showed the bottom of this Monique Lhuillier dress and panned up, my jaw dropped when it was Kristen Stewart. I would have loved to see a colorful statement necklace, but she still looks amazing, and remains true to her personality.
Award for longest standing celeb crush, cutest dimples, and all around hottest hottie: Mr. Jake Gyllenhaal.

Did you watch? Who were your pics for best/worst dressed? Do you agree with the winners?

Sheesh

Remember this girl?Or even this girl?
Would you believe that she turned into this girl?I know some other people have posted this but I can't help it! Just looking at the first picture to the last is scary. I wonder how she doesn't mourn for that person. She used to be so pretty, natural, and unique looking. She has completely transformed in just a few years! It appears plastic surgery can become a true addiction, yet no one is able to say enough is enough. It's fine in moderation, but changing so that you don't even look like yourself? Mind boggling! But who honestly thinks she looks better than before? I hate talking about this even now, because that's her goal..but magazines need to be advocating a better image. This isn't normal!

Annoying "Celebrities"

You know who they are (or if you are one of the lucky ones, you don't..as it SHOULD be)..these people have no real talent, are essentially making millions for no reason. Famous merely by association, whether it be parentage or friendship..These are my least favorite "celebrities"...

1. Heidi and Spencer..staged paparazzi shots..enough said

2. The Gosselin's..they continue to move up on the list..I actually used to be a big fan, but their actions speak much louder than their words
3. Miley Cyrus..ok, so at least she is famous for something, and some may argue that she is talented..but that doesn't mean she's not super annoying and cringe worthy (in my opinion)
4. Did I mention Heidi and Spencer? I think they deserve to spots on the list.
5. I could think of many other people to fill this spot, but which annoying "celebrity" do you think should make the list?

Battle of the British Beauties

Kate Winslet and Rachel Weisz cover Harper's Bazaar next month (American & UK). They are both stunning women and excellent actresses, but who is the better cover model?

See more of Kate here, and more of Rachel here.
I prefer Rachel's cover, but Kate's photos. What do you think?
