Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Bikini

I must have this. But let's face the facts. I get all of my bathing suits at Target because I can't spend more than 30 dollars on a bikini that lasts 1-2 seasons. Maybe this will be on clearance in the winter. I mean $110 for a bikini. It's a bit outrageous, no? Maybe I'm just being a cheapo college student.

Where do you buy your bathing suits? Should I convince myself to buy a more expensive suit?

New Moon Clip

Oh my god! This is torture. I can't believe we have to wait until November!

A Little Update

I've been hankering for a new look and this was the perfect solution. I got the idea from A Passenger Seat Kind of Girl, and thought I would try it myself. A little font change makes all the difference. Check out all the free fonts here. What do you think of the new look? Does anyone know where I can get a free custom header?

Always Blue

I have a problem. If I'm not careful, my whole (future) house will be blue. I can't help but be obsessed with everything blue! And I love each and every hue. But aren't these rooms just so pretty?

Blogging Confessions

1. I hate blogging without pictures
2. I use a lot of exclamation points and ellipses and have to consciously remove them
3. I turn my sound off when I go on a blog with music (no offense, I just can't multitask that well unless it's by choice)
4. Sometimes I feel like I spend too much time on blogger
5. I still hate the new Followers box
6. Sometimes blogging reminds me of high school
7. I like my posts brief and to the point (so if you ever want more details feel free to ask!)..there I go with the exclamation points again
8. I LOVE comments
9. But I'm a bad commenter on other people's blogs..but I promise I read them!
10. I love wedding and food blogs.... A lot!
11. Even though blogging takes time, and can sometimes be frustrating, I love it!

Please share your blogging confessions with me!

Wednesday Wonderings

I thought I'd start a new weekly post called Wednesday Wonderings. It might be a situational question, experiences with people, or include other wonderings about life. Today's wondering:

If you had a million dollars, how would you spend it?

Fashionista Questionnaire

Coutoure Carrie adapted this fun survey from Elle and tagged all her reader's to do it too so I thought I'd join in! I adapted it a bit further to shorten it up a bit.

Weekend

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I just got back from Cincinnati for a triple graduation party. Three of my cousins graduated high school and my whole family met up (which is a rare occasion). Since there are so many of us (twenty-six grand kids, my dad has 6 siblings, many who live out of Ohio) it only happens every couple of years. It was nice to see everyone, catch up, and share memories, but it went by so fast! I'm excited to relax tomorrow because I feel like I have been driving and walking around everywhere. Hopefully I have time for some decent blogging!

CAVS!

Oh my gosh the game tonight was insane. I went to watch the game with some friends at B-dubs and since we were losing and there was only 1 second left, we decided to beat the crowd and leave. On our way out we stopped to watch through the window to see Lebron shoot the 3 pointer to win the game. We started screaming our heads off and jumping up and down, because people this rarely happens in Cleveland. We're usually the ones who blow the lead (which we did in this game) and think we have the game then lose at the very end and it's heartbreak after heartbreak. So I'm a little excited! Hope we make it to the finals and win! Any other Cavs fans out there?

Read the recap here if you are interested.

Hi!

Woops, it's been a couple days but I was back at school moving in to the new apartment and I didn't have internet access. The new place is nice. It's a bit small and dated, but it works for 6 months. It was nice to take a couple days off the internet but it is nice to see what I missed:

New Moon poster was released..gosh November seems so far away!

Cannes Films Festival began
Gossip Girl Finale..did you watch? Thoughts?
And of course I had tons of posts to read! It was fun to catch up. I've found some great blogs lately that I have to share with you all!

In other news, I got a phone call yesterday from my new job telling me that the teacher I was supposed to replace has decided to stay. So I'm out of a job again. Ugh! Hopefully that will change soon. Bye loves!

They Say The Darndest Things..

After reading my last blog post this is what Andy says:

Andy: Honey, what's an inspiration wall?
Me: What you see in those pictures.
Andy: So just a bunch of stuff?

Hahaha..gotta love 'em..It is interesting hearing his point of view of "stuff" though.

Inspiration Walls

I like to rip out pages of magazines when I read them, save cute note from the boyfriend, and print pictures and hang everything on my cork board. The rest of my inspiration is on my computer (mostly on this blog) or in a bookmarked folder. I like these inspiration walls because they serve as an art form. I would like to use a similar style in my new apartment.

Do you have an inspiration wall? What does it look like? If not, how do you keep track of the things that inspire you?

News

So I went job hunting today. Since I am becoming a teacher, I wanted to find something in the child care field. I literally called about 20 different day cares! Some showed interest, some didn't hire for the summer at all, and a lot said to just drop off a resume. So I drove to a couple day cares close by, then on my way home randomly stopped in to another one that I wasn't planning on going to..and I GOT A JOB! I was so excited because I wasn't expecting anything since the others just took my resume and said goodbye. So I will be a teacher for school age children and I get to plan all sorts of fun activities and play with kids all day! This is my first full time job so I can't wait to get started in June.

In other news, I went shopping yesterday and got SIX dresses. Good thing I found a job. If you are trying to save money, avoid TJ Maxx. But if you are ready to spend, head there because they have adorable shoes and dresses (like always).

Yipee!

I have officially found my dream bedroom. Don't you love when you find something that looks like it was made for you? Ok, so maybe I would change a few things (shag carpet, porch doors) but I still love it. The blue, the white, the chandelier, the stripes! I must track down that chaise lounge too. Obsessed.

Yawn

I am finally home for the summer. It took forever to pack up my stuff, move it into a storage unit, cram the rest of my stuff in the car and drive home. It was a long weekend so it's nice to be home and able to relax. I still have a ton of stuff to do (find a job, unpack and clean my room) but staying in bed all day sounds like a better idea!

And since I feel weird posting without a picture, here is a little something pretty:

Color

Some people avoid color, and prefer neutrals. Other people go color crazy, and hate neutrals. I'm somewhere in the middle. I like neutral pieces with colored accessories. I like color on the walls too. So I guess I lean more toward the color crazy side minus the crazy. But some days (like today) I crave color and sometimes a lot of color can be a good thing. (That sound's pretty Martha-ish).

So do you prefer color or neutrals?

Turquoise

I saw this dress on Nicole Richie and it was love at first sight. I love the cut, the color, the patterns, and her accessories. This dress made me remember how much I love turquoise and really inspired me. Plus you know I love a good excuse to whip out a polyvore. Enjoy!

My boyfriend is funny. He has been studying hard all week for finals, and says it's "insane in the membrane". Who says that any more these days? I love him.

2009 Met Costume Institute Gala

Ohh the Costume Gala..It's pretty much the Oscars of the fashion world. This year's theme is Model as Muse. So much eye candy. Enjoy!
